![]() |
Private tour on requestOne of our most popular private tours with a fixed theme and carefully designed route
Toruń's Old Town is one of the three oldest parts of the medieval historic centre of Toruń, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the beginning, Toruń Old Town was a thriving commercial and cultural centre of the Hanseatic League, a wealthy hub attracting crowds of new settlers and merchants trading with northern and eastern Europe, establishing trading partnerships with other major cities. One of such partners was Nicolaus Copernicus, the father of the future great scientist. This unexpectedly large influx of new settlers necessitated the expansion of the city and, soon after, the establishment of the New Town of Toruń. However, this new city – also founded in the 13th century – is the subject of another of our tours >>>
